Why Science as Pop Art?

SmashingAtoms is about expressing the passion that comes from seeking to understand how this world works and why we are here. From the ancient peoples who were intimate with the earth and first observed the cycle of life to the scientist today who uses powerful and ingenius tools to probe into the mechanics of our reality, the quest is eternal.

With iconographic science images combined with playful use of color and texture, I try to express empirical scientific imagery more intuitively and at level that hopefully rekindles our more basic childlike sense of wonder.
